The Qupe-Verdad Tasting Room is Open!

It’s time, once again, for my From the Vine Column about the opening of the new Qupe-Verdad tasting room in the Santa Maria Times IMG_0754

Of course, all of my regular followers already know my bi-weekly From the Vine column also appears in the Lompoc Record. ‘Nuff said: Here’s the link to my column which you can read tonight on this free webpage, although its official publication date is tomorrow:

There’s nary a Central Coast wine lover who doesn’t respect the great names of Qupe and Verdad wines made (respectively) by Bob and Louisa Lindquist. After nearly two years, when they had to close their Los Olivos tasting room in Santa Barbara County, they are open for tasting again. All we fans can say is that this is awesome news–we’re so glad you’re back! We’re not the only ones, they have always earned the respect of wine critics, sommeliers, and wine connoisseurs around the world.

One note of importance, due to licensing requirements, Qupe wines can only be poured during private parties until the end of the month of November. But don’t fret, Qupe will be there soon, once the license waiting time is over. And the current Verdad line-up of awesome wines, including Albarino, Garnacha, and Tempranillo is well worth stopping by to discover! You can believe us when we say, any one of them (why not all of them) will be food friendly varieties to enjoy with your holiday meals and celebrations).

Now, you can click on the free link to my column with my report on the new tasting room (please do, it’s all free), and/or go their webpages at: and

Cheers and happy holidays!
