My From the Vine Column–Free Concerts at Local Wineries!
It’s not all that often that you get to see free live concerts at wineries on the Central Coast, nor anywhere else for that matter. But this year there have been several offerings, which I offer as proof of the fact the competition is getting stiffer all the time. The wineries do it with one goal in mind, to bring in more tasters. The only exception is that you can’t bring in outside wine or any other alcoholic beverages, nor outside foods. But to enjoy a free concert that supports many talented local bands, they’re asking you to enjoy their wine by the glass or bottle while you’re there, and/or buy food from the caterer/food truck they bring in. That really isn’t asking much. I know we’re in!
My latest From the Vine column with all of the info about these free concerts was published today in the Santa Maria Times and the Lompoc Record. You can read it free simply by clicking on this link:
Not only do I cover some terrific free concerts, I also found some deals for great upcoming festivals like the Wine & Fire, which opens at Dierberg/Star Lane in Santa Ynez Valley, if you purchase tickets in advance. Get the info and the deal of pricing by clicking on this link: www.staritahills.com beginning on August 18th, 2017.
And if you love Rose the way we do, you’ll want to read all about the Drink Pink Celebration at Presqu’ile (pronounced Press-Keel) in Santa Maria Valley. Presqu’ile will be pouring five different Roses, which always rank among my favorites on the Central Coast.
Get the details, and check out their calendar of upcoming events at www.presquilewine.com.
We’ll see you there!
