It’s rare when a chef can impress us over and over again. And yet that’s exactly what the Vegetable Butcher Did!
We have never been fond of tomato soup, but one taste of Chef Becky Windels version and we are fans for life. It was so awesome, with the additions of crunbled Cotija cheese and freshly grilled corn, we slurped down every drop.
But with each return to this excellent new restaurant on Marsh (at the corner of Broad) Street, Chef Becky has us walking away more excited than ever! I’m pretty damn sure we never said anything like that before now. Not that some restaurants have not deserved it, it’s simply a rare occurrence.
When they opened for their third brunch on Sunday, Nov. 5th, we were finally able to make it in and we were so glad we did We were thrilled by the fantastic brunch dishes Chef Becky offered, and we stuck to vegetarian dishes, from the chilaquiles to the black bean “enfrijoladas” on crispy blue corn tortilla chips., both topped with an egg So delightful!
