Our first review of Kuma Sushi in Los Osos was Excellent!
That’s why we’re happy to say Kuma Sushi is still excellent over two years later. Our first review appeared on Oct. 31, 2015, which you can read simply by searching for Kuma here. Not many restaurants around this county can promise that kind of consistency, and we were so glad to see it here!
The servers have always been very friendly and helpful, as well. But there’s no doubt about it, we’re there for the excellent quality of the sashimi! Although we do like some rolls, like this fabulous crab roll with real crab, not krab like most sushi houses use in California rolls. That said, we did pay extra to get crab, not krab. It’s well worth the extra few dollars!
We started with a bowl of miso soup, which was delicious. Before moving to the crab roll. And then we had a sashimi platter, which was perfection! And we chose the Figueroa Mountain amber Davy Brown Ale on tap, which tastes delicious with the cuisine at Kuma.
We then thoroughly enjoyed our sashimi platter featuring excellent choices by Chef Gogi. Get to know them at www.kumabowls.com.
And while you’re in Los Osos on a weekend, do yourself a favor by stopping by one of our top faves for Central Coast Rhone and Burgundian wines, Baker & Brain.
Get the details about these fine wine artisans at www.bakerandbrain.com. They’re usually open for tasting and buying Friday through Sunday, but be sure to check our their website for hours and days they are open, as special events can change their schedule.
